Update on the SF Bay Area The Drawing Box A5 Pop -Up at Diablo Valley College Library Gallery in conjunction with KNEE(jerk) Fragmentation Project presented by Global ART Project : the collaborative future, Concord Art Association and Studio 55 Martinez.
The Drawing Box show arrived some weeks ago from Delhi and sits waiting to be installed replacing the first exhibition of KNEE(jerk).
The opportunity to exhibit both projects K(j) and The DB A5 Pop-Up is especially gratifying as both projects intersect in terms of aesthetic, as artist-generated actions, overlapping participants and reflect grass-roots, yet wholly professionally presented and realized incentives spanning a period of ten years respectively.
While K(j) is presently mounted at DVC, on October 22nd we install the Drawing Box A5 Pop-Up until Nov 22 then ship the show to Ireland for a Christmas exhibition. At the end of the DB run a second version of K(j) will be installed.
Presently and through December the space hosts #globalartproject artists’ books under the umbrella title DISLOCATIONS and serves as a survey of this activity from the GAP catalog.
